Deon Blyan, J. Ryan Waye and I played Holy Joe’s last night. Good times. I finally got to meet the Rochester, NY chapter of the Paul Bellows Fan Club. All 3 of them! Thanks for driving up to Toronto, it made it a great show.
Also, got to see Jen(n?) again and learned the secret of the iTunes Music Store.
No thanks to the staff at Hey Lucy after the show who decided to call the cops on us. Many thanks to the Toronto bike officers who agreed with us not only that we’d done nothing wrong but that the quality of service was actually so bad that somehow it led to calling the police. I highly recommend chatting with the friendly bike cops of Toronto and avoiding Hey Lucy on King Street.
Thanks, Toronto. Tonight I’m going to see my old friend Chris and his band Rock Plaza Central. Chris and I almost got fired from Lydia’s in Saskatoon once together. But that’s another story.
I didn’t even know you were coming to Toronto! We were still on tour when you played but I didn’t see you at our show at all. That’s too bad.
Also, I was fired from Lydia’s. They loved you.

The show was great! I was sitting just over by the window with my pal Deon. Loved the guy, Andre, who opened up. That was awesome.

And neither of us were actually fired. But at that point in history, a lot of really great bands were fired from Lydia’s for not being quite enough like Triumph.
