OpenDNS is great

I know it’s been around for a while, but I just found OpenDNS. I’ve got real issues with my ISP running slow DNS servers and we do a lot of local DNS management in our development environment on boxes that rely on that ISP’s DNS.

OS X also seems to have a little trouble negotiating DNS in a snappy fashion at the best of times.

After adding in the OpenDNS servers I get really snappy response, and it seems to be a good tradeoff for the fact that they serve me custom content pages when I mistype a domain name.
